JAN 2005
A miracle every moment! We spent New Years in Idaho! This is Gabe shredding a rail, below are Whynton and Frank...and the rest of us!

The family spent New Year’s together in Tamarack, Idaho.  There was a glorious party on the mountain with a huge bonfire, spectacular fireworks and a parade of skiers with torches flying down the mountain at midnight.  Fairy Tale like!  I was sorry Uncle Harley and my cousins Molly, Mira and Matthew who were with us in Idaho had left earlier and missed the celebration. It was so beautiful!! I left the family and went to Alta, Utah where I snowboarded w/ friends (Laurent & Cobie) from Hood River and visited with family friends Pete, Liz and and adorable Sarah Meier.  I got back home in time for brother Aharon’s 15th bday, celebrated with the whole family together as McLain had not yet returned home to NYC.   Gabe and I headed up to Tahoe w/ the Gordon family for some more ‘boardin’, what a blast. The Gordon family are the best hosts with great food and friends in their cozy cabin (even while Andy is recuperating from knee surgery)!!  Tahoe has received record breaking snow this year and so you couldn’t ask for better snow to play in! Towards the end of January the clan went to see Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Band perform at the Davies Symphony Music Hall in SF…UNBELIEVABLE MUSIC.  My sister McLain used to travel with the group while she was under the tutelage of photographer/mentor Frank Stewart who is the group’s main photographer.  My family loves seeing Frank, Wynton and the group whenever we can.  It was so good to see them perform here in SF as I had missed their last three performances over the past year and a half, due to my health and inability to be in large groups!  Life is delicious when we can enjoy each activity and now I can, once again!
